Taken from Mr Morek’s latest EP release Kybalashe, this tune takes industrial elements and matches them with Eastern percussive elements and interesting synth sounds. The slow build that runs for almost 4 minutes takes us on a journey through sound manipulation, with the reverb-heavy, almost screaming synth sounds contrasting the hypnotic melodies that persist. Within one day, ‘Kybalashe’ deservedly made it to 15^th place on the Beatport Deep House Top 100. The Moscow-based producer has been growing his discography obsessively, with bright, cheerful techno releases filling the space between melodic house like this one. -Dan Peeke
